FASTROAD (Flexible Advanced Services for Television & Radio On All Devices) was a technology advocacy program of the National Association of Broadcasters during the period 2007-2012. Its role was subsumed into the NAB Labs initiative in 2012, and NAB Labs continues to develop projects in the tradition of FASTROAD, with an expanded remit and resources applied to technology advocacy, incubation and innovation. The overall mission of these efforts is to seek and facilitate development and commercialization of new technologies that can be exploited by broadcasters using radio and television broadcast spectrum.
The work produced during the five years of FASTROAD remains documented here, and is maintained as a historical and technical resource by NAB Labs.
